Pisac - Shopper's Dream

Our excursions today took us to Pisac and their market.  It was wonderful and I got to use my great skill of bargaining.  On Saturdays and Sundays it also includes fruits and vegetables.  Today it was Alpaca sweaters, scarves, t-shirts, jewelry, key chains, etc.  Many photo opportunities!

Next we traveled to have a Peruvian buffet lunch with musical entertainment.  Ollantaytambo was our last stop where we opted to visit a traditional home instead of hiking up to the fortress ruins.  The family raises guinea pigs for food (40 of them so far).  Yes I said for food.  They roast them.  GROSS!!!!!!  A picture for you.

Tomorrow to one of the highlights of the trip - Machu Picchu.  And it we were told that the Picchu is pronounced "pik chu.".  If  you don't say it that way you are saying (old male part [I won't say the word here-I might be censored], but the correct way means old mountain.  4:30 is going to come really early!  Ugh!!!   Afterwards we  head to Cusco.
